It's a bunch of terrorists, not insurgents. A small minority causing havoc just like what happened in Germany and Japan after WWII.

Here are a few facts about WWII a war with which I'm assuming you agreed because it happened before Viet Nam.
* Germany did not attack us.
* 405,000 AMERICAN soldiers died.
* 24-million total soldiers died.
* 10-million Russian soldiers died.
* 36-million civilians died
* Took 4 years to pacificy Germany
* Took 6 years to pacificy Japan
not counting the crazies on the outlying islands.
* During WWII an average of 187 American soldier died every day.
* During the Iraqi war an average of 2 soldiers have died per day.
* The American media during WWII were on our side.
* They reported both the good news and not just the bad news.
* An average of slightly under 400 persons died because of Saddam for every day he was in power.

I find it interesting that you don't consider freedom worth fighting for. It's so typically fiberal. I would disagree with Tori on war. Every war is painful and difficult and different. I would rather say wars never go exactly as planned , but the outcome as in Iraq/Afghanistan and German/Japan have been successful. Pacificiation is not yet complete.
NGNewsGnomehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15400754837781067020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11500145.post-1132073473710838772005-11-15T10:51:00.000-06:002005-11-15T10:51:00.000-06:00Ones that keep America safeOnes that keep America safeTeacher Torihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01768392574776846394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11500145.post-1132073435446411242005-11-15T10:50:00.000-06:002005-11-15T10:50:00.000-06:00ones that help keep America safeones that help keep America safeTeacher Torihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01768392574776846394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11500145.post-1132072408262796922005-11-15T10:33:00.000-06:002005-11-15T10:33:00.000-06:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.NewsGnomehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15400754837781067020noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11500145.post-1132026917499266962005-11-14T21:55:00.000-06:002005-11-14T21:55:00.000-06:00gyrobo is really TWO in disguise.tori is right, no...gyrobo is really TWO in disguise.
tori is right, no war goes well.
