I'm a BAD American (or not?)

I don't know how George Carlin can be such a flaming liberal and then write something like this! He almost sounds Republican!

YES, I'M A BAD AMERICAN by George Carlin

I Am Your Worst Nightmare. I am a BAD American. I am George Carlin.

I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some midlevel governmental functionary be it Democratic or Republican!

I'm in touch with my feelings and I like it that way, damn it!

I think being a minority does not make you noble or victimized, and does not entitle you to anything.

I believe that if you are selling me a Big Mac, try to do it in English.

I think fireworks should be legal on the 4th of July.

I think that being a student doesn't give you any more enlightenment than working at Blockbuster. In fact, if your parents are footing the bill to put your pansy ass through 4 years plus of college, you haven't begun to be enlightened.

I believe everyone has a right to pray to his or her God when and where they want to.

My heroes are John Wayne, Babe Ruth, Roy Rogers, and whoever canceled Jerry Springer.

I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor.

I know wrestling is fake and I don't waste my time arguing about it.

I think global warming is a big lie. Where are all those experts now, when I'm freezing my ass off during these long winters and paying, paying, paying?

I've never owned a slave, or was a slave, I didn't wander forty years in the desert after getting chased out of Egypt. I haven't burned any witches or been persecuted by the Turks and neither have you! So, shut-the-Hell-up already.

I want to know which church is it exactly where the Reverend Jesse Jackson practices, where he gets his money, and why he is always part ofthe problem and not the solution. Can I get an AMEN on that one?

I think the cops have every right to shoot your sorry ass if you're running from them. I also think they have the right to pull your ass over if you're breaking the law, regardless of what color you are.

And, no, I don't mind having my face shown on my drivers license. I think it's good.....and I'm proud that "God" is written on my money.

I think if you are too stupid to know how a ballot works, I don't want you deciding who should be running the most powerful nation in the world for the next four years.

I dislike those people standing in the intersections trying to sell me crap or trying to guilt me into making "donations" to their cause. These people should be targets.

I believe that it doesn't take a village to raise a child, it takes two parents.

And what the hell is going on with gas prices... again?

If this makes me a BAD American, then yes, I'm a BAD American.

For once, I actually agree with George Carlin and his rantings!!

TWO-

You can have great village and 2 idiot parents and I'll bet the child will mimmick the actions of the parent/or you can have 2 great parents and a bad village and I will bet you the child will still mimmick the parents.Interacting and raising are 2 different things.
I am very glad to see George Carlin come to his senses.

Your name suits you American Idiot
Do peers teach children how to say Thank you and please and do they push eduaction on them? Yes there are influences on the outside but teaching a person how to stand and think on their feet is not done with peers. Do you have kids? If so do you depend on their peers to guide them or would you give them the basics of life to grow upon?
A child can be taught to make choices at little as one years old.
Parents are the ones kids look up to admit it or not.

p.s. you can see it for yourself at www.georgecarlin.com at the top of the page on the right it says he did not write the "bad american" email. it is just, as i said, some douche bag republican trying to make it seem like even a "flaming liberal" like george carlin "figured out that conservatives were right all along."

it is sad that you people are so desperate to think you are right that you will buy into anything, even something as ridiculous as a fake email, to support your position. it was probably just another jerkoff redneck who wrote that.

sandy said. yes tori you started it. american idiot must be a mind reader to know in advance that you were going to call him an asshole so he jumped in ahead of you.

Aren't you sorry now. lol

As far as having a village help raise my kids, well it just didn't happen. Sure they learned from their peers, but it's usually all the prevalent cuss words and other bad habits that you have to correct.

I'll take a good set of parents over hillary's village any day.

two, I don't care where it came from. It still did not take a village to raise my children.

I can see where it would be a good idea in isolated villages of Africa, but we don't live there do we.

I guess Hillary will steal ideas from anyone. And she is dumb enough to think it would work in the United States. Like her medical plan.

Have a jolly thanksgiving.

Whoa: These communazis just keep on bothering you eh? Well AMIDIOT: My parents are both elementary school teachers. My dad is finishing up his PhD in Education and this is his take: Parental involvement (or lack thereof) BY FAR is the portal to success or failure in a child's life. This is why per pupil spending is not highly corrolated to performance in schools. Ask all the poor Black kids from the South pre 1960's and they had almost zero funding from the school districts. Yet a culture that valued education and some hard assed teachers educated the HELL out of these people. Why? Parental and COMMUNITY involvement with how kids are raised. But the parental involvement is crucial. Too bad you commies want to take parenting away from parents and impose it on the state. See the latest 9th Circuit ruling on sex ed in public schools (CA) for an example.

The village comment has been taken out of context as well. The village means the community; whether that consists of neighbors and extended family or pillars in the community etc. I certainly was raised by a village; my aunts and uncles, grandparents and some neighbors too (when I was naughty!)

Anyway, lest I rant more Happy Holidays Tori, Supply Madam and commies!

As a sex ed teacher, I am always very sensitive to parent's feelings on sex education. I rarely have a problem because I am teaching high schoolers but there has been the occasional phone call or email concerning:

1. what/how/do I cover homosexuality?

2. birth control- do I talk about it? Suggest it? demonstrate usage? hand it out?

-I have found that overall parents are more than happen to hand the reigns over to me for "the talk".

THE KIDS THAT WIND UP GETTING IN TROUBLE, SUSPENDED, EXPELLED OR EVEN PREGNANT HAVE LITTLE OR NO PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT. I'd say this is 90% accurate from my observations in 4 years of teaching. We like to call it "LOP." That girl doesn't have a learning disability, she has "LOP-Lack of Parenting."

TWO and I could go back and forth forever on this BS Village idea.

It's funny that of all the remarks made in tori's "bad american" post, that you latch on to this one for your bandwagon. I thought there were far better things in there for you to take on

OK two, if you think it takes a village then you take your kids if you have any and hand them over to the village. I don't care as long as you take responsibility for however they turn out.

That's my last response to you on this village idea.

I seem to remember Ted Nugent saying this... after I too posted Carlin as the author. Geez, I sure wasn't thinking that day. Carlin is a commie.
