Note from a soldier

I signed up on this website and my sister, Ranting Republican, and I will be sending troops care packages to show our appreciation. If you would like to do the same, simply pick a guy (or gal) and send away! This was a particular touching story:

"The election went well and they even ran out of ballots at some places. What it must feel like to be able to finally vote after so many years of being under someone’s thumb. Here is something that Communist News Network will never show (not enough of a body count) a woman shows up at our front gate requesting help. The guards are a bit leery because she is big as a house and they were afraid that maybe she had explosives wrapped around her waist. What looked like it could be one thing, turned into another, a cry for help. She was about ready to deliver and had complications. The local hospital turned her away and said “Go to the Americans, they can help you”. So she came to our front gate unannounced and unafraid seeking help. We spun the choppers up in a heartbeat and rushed her away to our main Hospital North of Baghdad, where they were able to help her. Her child lives to see a beautiful Iraqi day due to the Americans. Can’t wait to see that on Al-I’m-a-terrorist T.V., but won’t hold my breath, hey, It’s our job and we do it well."

Great story! I'll bet the media will be more than happy to leave this one out.

Maybe the media is just confused by the fact that only a third of Iraqis think we're doing more harm than good. When can we leave? They don't want us there, we don't wanna be there...

You don't have to worry the media follows the line of "if it bleeds it leads".
