mixed emotions
Well, my beloved city of Chicago FINALLY has a team going to the World Series.........the White Sox. Obviously, I wish it were my Cubbies but I will cheer for the Sox. My reasoning??? Its about time we got title back here in Chi-town and if the Sox can make it, maybe there's some hope for the Cubs someday. In addition, I dislike Houston and absolutely detest St. Louis. Soooo, I would like to see the White Sox kick the ever-living crap out of the Cardinals. Lets just hope those ghetto south-siders can maintain their composure and keep the rioting, looting and fires to a miminum :)

yeah, thanks for inviting me msu77......see if I ever invite you up to Lambeau Field again since you're not a Packer fan.
I'm not exactly a Sox fan either, but I suppose I'm happy that they might bring some sports recognition back to Chicago...
Although, I also want the Astros to beat the Cardinals...so if it's a Texas vs. Illinois World Series - I'm just going to cheer for whoever is winning the series because hey, I can't lose either way :)
You're wrong Eddie - Lambeau is the best place, even in the freezing cold...you just need to get yourself a hot chocolate (some prefer beer), and bratwurst pizza to warm you up!
You're gettin on my nerves Eddie...
Southeastern civilized portion of the state
Not sure I would consider anything north of Ozaukee county to be in the southeastern part of the state. I won't even comment on the "only civilized part" portion of the comment...
All of Wisconsin is awesome. Green Bay is a blast, Door County is quite, quaint and classy and only parts of Milwaukee are actually nice. Kenosha and Racine are mostly dumps, and LaCrosse is beautiful. Forgive me but Southeast Wisconsin isn't much to write home about (except for the outlet malls)
I like Wisconsin - except for Madison, too liberal for my liking...too many hippies.

Having grown up in the SE part of the state, then livning in the NW part of the state for 6 years, and the SW part of the state for another 5 before returning to the SE, I have to agree with you on that.

And Miller Park!

Or at least it would be if we were better able to keep the FIBs out... <GDR>
Door County would be NOTHING without FIBS and FISHTABS (fucking illinois shitheads towing a boat)...like my parents. Our moola keeps the penisula alive.
FISHTABS
Oooh! A new acronym. I hadn't heard that one before... I like it.
Getting back to Sox, I like them they keep my feet warm on my hardwood floors and lets me to do my best tom cruise impersonation of old time rock and roll
i'd pay to see that pappy! I am wearing red warm-ups, a blue cubs shirt and a red/blue Cubs zip-up today. I'm no johnny-come-lately Sox fan and not afraid to show my losing sports team some lovin'.
Eddie - I used to work in LaCrosse and have to agree - very nice area. I went to college straight across the Mississippi in Minnesota. Eau Claire is pretty too. I miss the changing of the leaves. I don't really get that down here in Texas. It was 92 today. Freaking ridiculous.
so if a place doesn't have chipolte or a PF Changs, its a piece of shit?
it takes one to know one :)
