spin, spin and more spin

I got this forward from a commie teacher friend of mine.

On Presidents and Hurricanes:

President: Nixon

Danger: Category-5 Hurricane Camille (August 1969)
Area: About the same area as that affected by Katrina
Response: Nixon prepared the National Guard in advance, ordering rescue ships from Tampa, FL and Houston, TX to stand waiting along with over a thousand regular military, 24+ helicopters to assist the Coast Guard and National Guard about as soon as the hurricane passed.

President: Bush the Elder
Danger: Hurricane Andrew (August 92)
Area: Florida
Response: In the middle of a re-election campaign, Bush ceased campaigning the day before the hurricane, went to Washington, and assembled one of the largest military forces ever mustered on U.S. soil. Seven thousand National Guard and 22,000 regular military were sent inwith the necessary equipment shortly after the hurricane passed through. (holy Jesus, did they just say something nice about a Bush?)

President: Clinton
Danger: Category-3 Hurricane Floyd (September 1999)
Area: Virginia and Carolinas
Response: Meeting with China's president Jiang in New Zealand, Clinton immediately declared the hurricane-affected areas as federal disasters, allowing the military and National Guard to move in and help. Clinton flew home immediately, one day before the hurricane hit(got a quick blow job), to help coordinate the rescue.

President: Bush the Lesser (real mature)
Danger: Category-5 Hurricane Katrina (August 2005) (actually it was a 4 when it made landfall)
Area: Gulf Coast
Response: National Guard troops are down about 8,000 members because they are in Iraq with much of the necessary rescue equipment needed. (untrue, there are a total of 11,000 National Guard in Louisiana, only 3,000 are in Iraq.) Bush was on vacation, riding his bike for two hours the day before the hurricane lands. (what would you have him do? Its a state matter at this point) So for every hurricane from this moment on we have to deploy 1,000's of troops just in case? Deploy military ships? ) On the day Katrina landed, Bush attended a birthday party for John McCain. The levees began to crack. (the levees cracked the next day. Katrina wasn't a bad hurricane at all and NOLA would have been alright if the levees didn't break. Is President Bush supposed to have freaking ESP now? It's the state's responsibility to make sure those levees are strong enough, not his.) While emergency1.5-ton sandbags were ready to be placed to steady the levee and absorb water, there were insufficient numbers of helicopters and pilots to send them before the levees break. (once again, not a federal issue) Again, the mayor of New Orleans, pleaded for federal-level assistance and got none. (why the #### didn't he allow the Red Cross in to help? Or use the buses that were fueled and ready to evacuate people....oh right, his answer was "we didn't have enough drivers." Horse####. There was some 20 year old kid who hotwired a bus, drove it to New Orleans, picked up stranded people and drove them all the way to Houston. Good job Nagin, pass the buck, so typical of liberals) Bush went to San Diego to play guitar with a country singer and end his vacation early -- but not until the next day, because he had tickets to a San Diego Padres game.

**God I can't stand commies. How did I ever like that friend of mine? Funny, now he's dating a cute, blonde, conservative.....good. But I don't know how she's doing it! He was a military man too, and is anti-gun, why oh why are you a liberal? I just want to walk upstairs, bust into his classroom, grab one side of his head and smash it full force into the chalkboard and then just walk out the door. Maybe I'll just put his email address on a spam list.**

It really gets crazy with all the Bush bashing. Thats all they care about. Has anyone told these people he can't run in 2008? May be if he is big enough to cause global warming his big enough to halt the 2008 elections.

I'm going to say something that hasn't been said yet about this storm.

I think the MEDIA made Katrina happen! Now there's a conspiracy theory for ya. Makes more sense!

"Has anyone told these people he can't run in 2008"

Maybe they feel he's doing a bad enough job that they can't wait that long for him to get out of office.

As for Mr. Military Man being anti-gun, I'm fairly sure he has enough experience to make the decision himself.

All that being said, I think that email is crap, too.
