eddie - I think TWO was just trying to be overly nit-picky on silverpanthers comment.

When I read her comment, the "them" referes to Kamau Kambon and anyone stupid/racist enough to follow him or agree with him.

Hello:
I saw your blog from Ms. Chatterboxes. I am not sure how admonishing him to go back to Africa makes any sense. He clearly enjoys the free speech we have in America. I am saddened by his statements and wish he never said them, nor that anyone would agree with him. Also, the neo nazis in Toledo Ohio similarly preach hate; but a riot wasa the result of that by fools and robbers that had little to do with racial injustice. But to be fair, should I admonish the neo nazis to go back to Europe? Obviously anyone who preaches that bs is a loser, perhaps not worthy of your attention.

I agree!

Did Coulter ever suggest starting a race war or suggest we need to exterminate a specific race?

I absolutely do think Ann Coulter is extreme. Some of the stuff she says I am shocked and don't agree with but that doesn't mean I don't find her fascinating!

In your mind, are Kambon and Coulter not counterparts?

OK. Just wanted to see if I was missing something.

To answer your original question, no I would not put Kambon and Coulter in the same boat. Kambon is more like Rev Phelps (the "God Hates Fags" whack job...)

yeah, Coulter looks like Mother Theresa compared to Howard Dean. We're not trying to make her our Party's spokesman!!!! Dean as your party leader, what crackhead thought up that one?

Am I the only one that finds it strange that TWO (aka the night owl), who confesses to being in the democratic undergrond, does not know much about Howard Dean?

Just how far underground do you bury your head?

Its like comparing apples and oranges. Ann Coulter is not an elected official nor ran for the presidency. Here are some Dean quotes. Can he be any more polarizing? News Flash dems....if you are even going to win another election, you have to get some red states and reach out to the center....so keep it up Dean, you're doing a great job!:

"I hate Republicans and everything they stand for."

"I've waffled before. I'll waffle again."

"Someone earlier made a remark about losing 500 soldiers and 2,200 wounded in Iraq. Those soldiers were sent there by the vote of Sen. Lieberman, Sen. Edwards and Sen. Kerry. I think that is a serious matter."

"This country was the moral leader of the world until George Bush became president."

"This is a struggle of good and evil. And we're the good."

"The French will always do exactly the opposite on what the United States wants regardless of what happens, so we're never going to have a consistent policy."

IRAQ

"We got rid of him. I suppose that's a good thing." -- Howard Dean on Saddam

(When asked if the Iraqis were better off without Saddam Hussein) "We don’t know that yet." -- Howard Dean

"I think in general the ends do not justify the means." -- Howard Dean after we blew away Uday & Qusay Hussein

The capture of Saddam has not made America safer." -- Howard Dean

"The most interesting theory I have heard so far, which is nothing more than a theory, I can’t think – it can’t be proved, is that [President Bush] was warned [about 9/11] ahead of time by the Saudis. Now, who knows what the situation is?" -- Howard Dean

"Dealing with race is about educating white folks."

SOCIAL SECURITY FLIP FLOP

"The way to balance the budget is for Congress to cut Social Security, move the retirement age to 70, cut defense, Medicare and veterans pensions, while the states cut almost everything else. It would be tough but we could do it." -- Howard Dean in 1995

"I would also entertain taking the retirement age up to 68." -- Howard Dean to NBC in June of 2003

"I have never favored a Social Security retirement age of 70 nor do I favor one of 68." -- Howard Dean in August of 2003

OMG! Dean actually suggested that the retirement age should be raised. That is extreme!

I think the point of that was not the raise in age, it was Dean counterdicting himself in a very obvious manner.

At least Dean, unlike Coulter, does not advocate violence or terrorism against political opponents.

Do you have some specifics on this? Most times that I have seen conservatives supposedly advocating something like this, it has been something said in a "tongue in cheek" manner that some lefty then twists to their own purpose.

i posted the following comments to show what a flip-flopper he is:

"My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times Building." - Ann Coulter

That sounds exactly like one of those humorous tongue in cheek comments I was talking about, though it is hard to tell out of context...

Remember Will Rogers? He said something along these lines:" When I make a joke it's for laughs. When Congress makes a joke it becomes law".

Howard Dean is(in my opinion) a joke and the best vote getter for the Republican party.

Quote from TWO:
Even without knowing much about Dean, I can guarantee that Coulter is more extreme than him. End of quote.

All I can say is "Oh really" is this the blind faith of the liberal mind.

Seems like you based your guarantee on very little or no knowledge by your own admission. Aren't you the one that wants facts all the time? If so, then how can you justify your statement?

At 4:24 PM , Blogger sandy said...

Well, even without knowing much about Ann Coulter, I can guarantee Howard Dean is more extreme than her.

That is your statement from several comments back. I just switched dean and coulter. I guess it only makes sense if you say it.
